Greg Vaughan is leaving the American television series “Days of Our Lives and the role of Eric Brady behind. Many of you must be wondering what the hell am I talking about, when he has already signed a contract with the show recently. Well, it turns out that the contract that he signed in August 2015 is a short term one. Greg is giving time to the writers to arrange for his departure from the show by coming up with a best storyline on how the character of Eric should be written out. So nobody knows when his last airdate will be, but it could be end of next year in November or December 2016 probably.
Greg first debuted on the show on August 18, 2012, 3 years ago, taking the role from Jensen Ackles who had portrayed the role from 1997-2000 before leaving the show to focus on life outside of the soap opera world. On November 30, 2015, it was confirmed that the 42 year old actor is indeed leaving the show. Now that he’s leaving the show, will the role be re-casted? Or will his character will written out completely with no re-casting at all, after his departure. He may be leaving the role, but that doesn’t mean he has no plans of returning in future. If the storyline takes a complete turn, then he will surely return in future, but not anytime soon. Probably few years from now.
Vaughan has appeared in few movies besides the soap opera i.e Second Chances opposite his Days co-star Alison Sweeney, playing her love interest this time, “Playdate” and also “And Then There Was You”. The three movies that he had starred on, all three of them released in 2013, where he was seen in three different and interesting roles. On November 29, 2015, a movie premiered with Greg starring as a lead in the movie called “The Christmas Note” opposite actress Jamie-Lynn-Sigler.
Vaughan announced last year that he’s splitting up from his wife of 3 years a Dutch model and actress Touriya Haoud. They have three children together. After separating from his wife, Greg hasn’t found love again. But once he does, then Rubyshub.com will be the first one to announce the news.
