John Robert Powers San Diego talent agency had announced on March 20, 2015 by posting on their official Facebook page that actor James Lastovic has been cast on NBC’s soap opera drama series Days of our Lives in a contract role. He will be playing the two year contract role of Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) teenage son, Joseph “Joey” Johnson. The casting call described the character the troubled young boy who suffers from abandonment and resentment issues.
James Lastovic who was born in San Diego, California and currently resides in Los Angeles, is a graduate from Ruskin School of Acting. He made his acting debut in 2013, when he starred in a movie called “A Talking Pony!?!” in the lead role of Wesley. He went on to star in late Candian playwrighter David French’s play “Leaving Home” as the 17 year old immature and naive, Billy. The play was directed by Barbara Tarbuck and written by David French.
The play took place at Ruskin Group Theatre which opened on February 6, 2015 and went through March 14, 2015. There’s no air date yet on his official debut, but as soon as I find out.
