Texas born musician and actor Jonathon McClendon has been cast as the recast of Chase Jennings on daytime series “Days of our Lives” in the contract role. Just when everyone thought that Aiden Jennings and Chase Jennings were leaving Salem together for good, it comes as a major surprise that in fact the character of Chase has been recast in the form of a teenager played by the 18 year old actor which means he’s all set to return to Salem. The role was previously played by child actor Connor Kalopsis from 2014 upto now in 2015. The new soap opera actor Jonathon is all set to show his acting skills when his character debuts on the show on October 30th alongside Vivian Jovanni.
The show is all set to go for a big change, now that the new writers have taken over the show. The show will also get to see some of the favorite characters leaving the show, old characters returning and child actors aged into teenagers. The five characters that have been aged are Theo Carver, Claire Brady, Joey Johnson, Ciara Brady, and Chase Jennings. Theo will be portrayed by Kyler Pettis, Claire by Olivia Keegan, Joey by James Lastovic, Ciara by Vivian Jovanni and Chase by Jonathan McCleandon. Will the character of Chase and Claire become the next big thing in Salem along with Joey and Ciara? And who will Theo have a thing for? We will probably find that out early next year.
McClendon is best known for starring as Brandon on “I Didn’t Do It” for 5 episodes earlier this year and a movie called “The Playroom” in 2012, where he starred in the lead role of Christian Cantwell. This happens to be the 5 foot 11 inches actor’s first time landing a lead role in the television series.
