How To Get Away With Murder alum Matt Cohen has been hired to star on the soap opera show ‘General Hospital’ as Dr. Griffin Munro. Matt being cast in the role of a doctor is something new and exciting, because this role that he has decided to take on, is completely new and fun. He has never portrayed a role of a doctor before, so fans of the show as well as the actor’s will be very happy on seeing the tall, dark and handsome actor dressed in scrubs treating his patients.
With Patrick Drake not around, I can see this new doctor winning the hearts of his GH fans just like that. His portrayal could help in the rising of the ratings too because he had once starred as a lead on a hit series called ‘South of Nowhere’ which aired for 3 seasons.
The former South of Nowhere star is all set to make his soap opera debut next month in the first week of February 2016. For now, the only thing known about the character is that he is a doctor. His character Dr Griffin could be the doctor, who treats Sonny Corinthos with his medical condition and help him get back to his feet. Cohen has been shooting for the ABC show for a while now, what will be more fun to see is who this handsome doctor will end up with. There are many gorgeous women in Port Charles, to see which character ends up stealing his heart fast would be eye opening.
The 33 year old American actor is married to Mandy Musgrave (His South of Nowhere co-star) since 2011, and they have a child together, a son Macklin Cohen, born in April 2015. He recently starred in the thriller movie ‘Winsor Drive’ with his wife Mandy that released in August 2015.
