American actor Peter Reckell has left the NBC soap opera drama series “Days of our Lives” as Bo Brady after his character died in his ex wife’s arms. Soap opera star Peter first debuted as Bo Brady on May 3, 1983 until April 20, 1987, then again from 1990-2012. In 2015, it was announced that Peter was asked to come back for the third and last time, but this time only for a few months. In the beginning of September 2015, Bo was written back into the storyline when his character was shown being held captive and tortured in Mexico’s prison. Reckell’s last on screen appearance was on November 20, 2015 when his character was killed off.
On today’s episode, Bo Brady had taken his last breath in his fancy face aka Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) arms after telling her the truth about the tumor in his brain. He left her in tears in the park, by leaving the world as it started snowing. What a sad story!!! November 20th’s episode was one of the most heartbreaking episodes the viewers have ever watched. Just when everyone thought Bo and Hope were finally going to get back together and live happily ever after, it was revealed that he’s dying of Brain Tumor and their worse nightmare has finally come true. Bo is no more. He will forever be missed, and Hope will never be able to get over something like that. Bo was the love of her life.
Many people will be having a hard time accepting the truth like his kids Ciara and Shawn Brady. Especially Ciara, who was looking forward to seeing her parents getting back together and finally remarrying. It seems like her dreams of seeing her parents remarrying will never come true now that he’s gone.
Peter who is best known for portraying the contract role of Bo Brady on Dool, confirmed on his Twitter account on Nov 16th about departing from the show. He tweeted : “I too will miss portraying Bo.! Thanks for the support!.” On Nov 20th, just 4 hours ago he tweeted another message for his soap opera fans “Thanking you for all the heartfelt, emotional & incredibly funny comments…… Love you guys!!” . Sweet guy, isn’t he?
How will his family deal with Bo’s sudden death? Will Chase be happy that Bo is finally gone? Will Chelsea come back to Salem upon hearing about her father’s death?
Wishing Peter Reckell good luck for his future projects. Dool won’t be the same without Bo Brady.
