Alison Sweeney who is best known for portraying the role of Sami Brady on the NBC soap opera drama series “Days of Our Lives” from 1997 up to 2014, is returning to the show later this year. According to reports she will start taping on May 6th. She also directed an episode of ABC’s soap opera drama series “General Hospital” which aired on Friday, August 15, 2014 last year.
The American actress who is currently a TV host for the reality television series “The Biggest Loser” will be making a brief return to the soap opera after portraying the role for the past 21 years. She left the long running series on October 30, 2014 to spend more time with her family and be more flexible with her hours, also because she wanted to try out other things.
After leaving the soap opera series in 2014, she went on to star in a mystery movie called ” Murder, She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder” in the role of Hannah Swensen. The movie released on May 2nd 2015. She is currently filming a romantic movie called “Radio Hype” where she plays the lead role of Sonia.
Sweeney announced on Instagram that she will be returning to the show for the 50th Anniversary joining other her other soap opera stars :- Stephen Nichols, Nadia Bjordin, Peter Reckell and Camilla Banus. It’s not known for how long the blonde reality television host will be back for.
The 38 year old American actress married her “Days of Our Lives” co star Dave Sanov after meeting him on the set of the show. She married him in 2000 after dating for nearly 3 years and together they have 2 children, Benjamin (b. 2005) and Megan (b. 2009). She lives with her family in Los Angeles.
