The Young and the Restless actor Daniel Goddard recently underwent surgery to fix his broken arm which he broke in the month of September 2015, during a fight scene. Just 14 hours ago, he left a message on his Twitter account for his fans updating them about his surgery: “Surgery was a success….Metal is now out of my arm and the infection is under control. But, I’m back in the cast! ❤️U.” Poor guy, it sucks that he’s in a terrible pain, but hey, accidents are bound to happen on set, right? Inspite of being in pain, before undergoing surgery, he informed his fans about it on November 24th, “Emergency surgery being scheduled for today, as his body was rejecting the metal in his elbow and he has to get it out As Soon As Possible“.
Daniel first joined the cast of “The Young and the Restless” on January 12, 2007 as Cane Ashby, a contract role. In 2011, he was fired from the role, only to be asked to rejoin the show, after the viewers of the show campaigned for his return. And, why wouldn’t they? He’s the only character who is capable of portraying the character of Cane that good. He’s actually the best, and I cannot imagine any other actor playing Cane but him. Since appearing on “The Young and the Restless”, the 44 year old Australian actor has avoided starring on any other shows and movies. The last time he had starred on a movie was in 2009 in the movie “The Perfect Sleep” as Sergei and before that on “Immortally Yours” as Alex Stone. After that he has not been seen starring on any other movies.
Daniel is married to Rachael Marcus since 2002, and together they have two beautiful children.
