Mark Wright has impressed many football clubs with his soccer skills after playing Soccer Aid 2016 charity match on Sunday and helping his team to win the match. He has received offers from two clubs so far, Manchester United and Sunderland after being named ‘Man of the Match’. Mark has been offered a two week trial by Jose Mourinho which he has happily accepted and is all set to train with the team in July. Besides that he had also received a serious offer from Sunderland, when the Sunderland boss called Mark’s father to inform him about his interest in Mark after he scored an amazing goal from a 25 yard free kick.
He may have developed interest by sharing on his Twitter that he would love to play for Sunderland, but the fact is that he has also accepted the trial offered by Jose Mourinho. Once he’s done with his trial, he will be leaving for The Dengineers which has been picked up for another season. So I don’t think he will have time for Sunderland, but you never know. As a TV presenter and man of the match, he has expressed his desires of wanting to play soccer for atleast a few years. He can always take a break from Shows to focus on football. But first lets see how his trial goes, and whether he will get signed or not.
Mark is no stranger to football, before starting his TV debut, he was a professional soccer player who played for Thurrock Football Club and during his youthful days in teams like West Ham United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. Even after all this years, he still has some great skills and is still good at football.
