Riverdale star Cole Sprouse has earned himself a nomination in The Shorty Awards 2017 category as a best actor alongside Aziz Ansari, Channing Tatum, Gaten Matarazzo, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ryan Reynolds. The competition may be tough, but he has a high number of fans and followers on the social networking sites, and now that he has booked a lead role of Jughead Jones in the Riverdale show, his fan base has increased. So the chances of him winning are high. If Cole wins this award, this will be his first ever award, as he has never won any awards in the past. The Shorty Awards 2017 will be live streamed on Sunday, April 23rd, so everyone can watch it.
The voting lines had opened on January 17, 2017, and closed on February 16th. The finalist had been announced earlier this month in March, with Sprouse being one of them. Votes have been done and counted already, the person with the highest votes will go on to win the shorty award in their categories. As much as I want, Sprouse to win the award, it will be up to the voters, how hardly they have voted for the actor as the other celebs have huge number of followers too. If the 24 year old actor wins, then great, but if he doesn’t then it’s not the end of the world as he will be nominated in future for his role on the show. He has won the hearts of many by playing the character of Jughead Jones well, not like he hasn’t before but this time more. He may not have been nominated for his role yet, but I know in future he will be.
Catch Cole Sprouse on Riverdale every Thursday on CW channel. And trust me, you won’t regret it.
After his role of Jughead Jones, I see many movie and TV show offers coming his way.
